Eligibility
- Open to all Cornell University students
- Must attend in person for the full event (10:00AM – 8:00PM, April 25, 2026)
- One team per participant
- Participants under 18 require parental/guardian consent
Team Formation
- Teams of 2–4 members (can be formed before or during the event)
- Team members must be finalized by 11:15AM (no changes after)
Project Requirements
- All work must be created during the hackathon (i.e. between 11:15AM - 6:00PM on April 25th, 2026)
- You may use pre-existing libraries, frameworks, APIs, and other open-source tools
- You may NOT submit projects that were created before the event or significantly built upon pre-existing work
- Using templates, boilerplate code, or starter projects is allowed, but the core functionality must be original
- Projects must be fully functional: demos should show working features, not just mockups
AI Usage & Assistance
- AI tools are allowed and encouraged for code assistance, brainstorming, and problem-solving
- Use of the Claude API is strongly encouraged and will be a major factor in judging
Content Guidelines
- Must be appropriate for all audiences
- No offensive, discriminatory, or illegal content
- Must follow the hackathon theme
- Must not violate intellectual property rights
Code of Conduct
- Be respectful, inclusive, and collaborative
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated
- Violations may result in warnings, disqualification, or removal
If you experience or witness misconduct, report it to a hackathon organizer immediately.
Intellectual Property
- Your team retains full ownership of your project
- By submitting, you grant the Cornell Claude Builders Club, Anthropic, and event partners permission to showcase your project for promotional purposes
- You are responsible for any third-party content used
Liability & Safety
- The Cornell Claude Builders Club, Cornell University, Anthropic, and other event partners are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage
- Participants are responsible for their belongings and safety
- Follow all venue rules and report concerns
Privacy & Media
- Photos and videos may be taken during the hackathon for promotional purposes
- By participating, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded unless you request otherwise in advance
Agreement
By participating in this hackathon, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by all rules and the Code of Conduct as outlined above.
